Originally from NY, I've been living and working in France for the past 35 years. I have dedicated my clay works to two distinct series; Face-to-Face & Stacking & Piling. Both question and research collective and individual memory, linked to identity. Face-to-Face are portraits, which reflect upon the imperceptible qualities of self-reflection inherent in the face-to-face combat. Stacking & Piling emanate from the traces left behind after political, social or natural effervescence. They're constructed using an amalgam of ordinary objects, immediate and symbolic.
